Advantage Professionals [AP] was founded in a 400 square foot second floor office in the heart of Amherst, NY. Our first year was spent developing a model and reputation to surpass the achievements Joe had developed in his nine plus years at Robert Half. Our dream of developing an agency with character and a spotless reputation made Joe's decision of waiting out his non-compete contract with Robert Half an easy one.
By January of 1995, we expanded to 1,000 square feet into the prestigious Walker Center, a 70,000 square foot retail/office complex owned by the Advantage Co., located in Amherst, New York. Our location is perhaps the finest geographic location in upstate New York. Our staff of four, all with prior agency experience, was as committed as Joe to the development of our dream.
One year later, we opened our second operation, a 1,000 square foot facility in the prestigious Linden Oaks office Park in Rochester, New York, 60 miles east of Buffalo. Our goal was to duplicate the successes of the Buffalo operation into Rochester.
By 1997, we expanded Buffalo to 2,500 square feet and grew the staff to 15. We subsequently moved Rochester to a new 2,400 square foot facility and expanded its staff to 10. Our main strength remained in the executive, accounting, information technology, legal and administrative areas.
1998 surpassed our own optimistic projections. In addition, our reinvestment strategy focusing on the three newest offices in Charlotte, Phoenix and New York fulfilled our dream of the next step in becoming a regional agency.
By 1999, our 5 regional operating offices stabilized and enjoyed record growth and profits beyond our expectations.
AP.’s revenues for the year 2000 continued to grow with six offices in operation with the success of the firm’s addition of its newest office in Washington DC.

AP. completed office openings in Raleigh North Carolina and Denver Colorado.

AP.’s staff among the seven cities is currently at 58 with several new additions to our continued regionalization including Toronto, Canada. Amherst currently occupies 3,500 square feet in the Walker Center and the Rochester operation just completed a move into a state of the art 4,000 square foot facility. New York, Phoenix, Raleigh and Washington all boast class A office space with first class personnel.
